John Wentzell and Mike Green start their new business venture – window cleaning.
1970
Expansion from window cleaning to contract cleaning.
1971
Awarded their first big contract by the holiday park group, Pontins.
1985
Registered as Capital Cleaning (Kent) Limited, purchased their first premises at Hedley Street and expanded further into supplies.
1998
Moved to larger office in Granville Road.
2000
Linnette Kingslow is hired as Shirley Wentzell’s successor.
2009
Express Cleaning Supplies website is purchased and Capital step onto the ecommerce platform.
2012
Shirley Wentzell retires.
2018
Gained two businesses, previous competitors no less, by acquisition within a couple of months of each other.
2020
Remained open throughout the pandemic, supplying essentials to our community and the nation.
